Repairing the Damage
On Saturday May 10, less than a week after the tornado damaged most of Pleasant Valley Park. Coach Tuso was greeted by some helpful parents and players who were more than
willing to lend a hand to help the organization to get back on track after the storm.
Parent of former player Michael DeVaul and current 7th-8th grader Bret DeVaul, Jeff DeVaul repaired holes that debris made in the top of the
concession trailer. Jeff is a carpenter who is only in town on the weekends, however found the time to lend a hand to the organization. A big thank
you goes out to Jeff for all his help, especially during his limited free time.
Both current and former Wolverines showed up to help clean up some of the equipment that was found after the storm. Former players, Alex Elder and Michael DeVaul showed up along with current Wolverines
Bret DeVaul and Bradley Lucas.
Some of the parents gather at Rusty Lucas's truck. Rusty is the Wolverines Equipment Manager. Parents discussed possible fundraisers and companies to contact about
donations.
Overall it was great to see some of the parents showing their support. Again, this was not a planned meeting but a group of parents coming up to see if they could help out which turned into a "CleanUp Event".
The following people were present:
Rusty and Dianne Lucas
Bradley and David Lucas and David's buddy Travis
Jeff and Debbie DeVaul
Bret and Michael DeVaul
Alex Elder
A huge THANK YOU to them for showing up and lending a hand.
