2009 8th Grader Jacob Hobbs (2 year Wolverine)
0-D CAMP AWARD: Gatorade Award for outstanding hustle and effort
Jacob Hobbs is a perfect example of what it means to be a successful youth athlete and he continues to excel at everything he does. He is not the fastest or the strongest or the biggest player on the field but he will out work and out hustle everyone who stands in his way. Jacob has been a regular this off-season attending speed and agility classes which improved his 40 yard dash time from a 5.7 last year to a 5.2 this year. Jacob is a fullback and defensive end for the Wolverines and in his spare time he is an amateur boxer knocking out his competition like he did to a QB at the camp pictured below.
2009 4th Grader Ryan Potts (5 year Wolverine)
0-D CAMP AWARD: Outstanding Offensive Player
Ryan Potts is a "Pocket Hercules"... small and mighty and ready and willing to do it all. Ryan is a going on his 5th year as a Missouri Wolverine. Ryan is a quarterback and to polish his skills for this fall he took up the challenge of attending the O-D camp to improve his skills and while he was there was complimented by all the staff for his form and technique and was honored with the Offesive Player Award for his age division. Kansas City Chiefs QB Brody Kroyle commented on how well Ryan's form was and Ryan also had a good camp on the defensive side of the ball.
ABOUT THE OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE CAMPS
The Offensive and Defensive Camp is the largest full-contact youth football camps in the country. We have been America's Favorite Summer Football Camp for the last 38 years, so we know how to train the best and prepare the youth football population for life. Offense-Defense Football Camps is committed to providing youth football players with the ultimate instructional football camp in the country.
We are continually striving to meet and exceed the expectations of all campers by utilizing the 4 C's of football: Coaching, Curriculum, Contact, and Commitment.
In addition to the fundamentally sound football instruction campers receive at Offense-Defense, the camp provides campers with skills needed to succeed in life. Offense-Defense provides an environment that fosters such skills as teamwork, discipline, responsibility, respect, family values, and, of course, hard work.
The fundamental goal of Offense-Defense is to create new standards and to lead the youth football market with a camp that benefits players, teams, and leagues directly.
O-D Staff
All hired staff (coaches, trainers, counselors, and administration staff) must apply for the position desired. All applicants are required to submit at least three (3) references with their application. All applications and references are reviewed along with a background check for all counselors. Prior to the first day of camp, all camp staff are required to attend a full orientation with the Offense-Defense staff.
Providing a safe and positive learning environment is the foundation for Offense-Defense Academy. A staff member can and will be dismissed if their character is shown to be at odds with the philosophy of Offense-Defense.
