When the Wolverines first moved to Pleasant Valley Park in 2000. The current game field was on a slope which made conditions very hard to play on. After two years of using the field, other teams in the league began to protest playing at Pleasant Valley Park because of the unsafe conditions of the Wolverines Game field. However, Jim Kidwell Construction volunteered to help the Wolverines out and donated the work to correct the problems with the Wolverines Game Field. In May of 2002, they corrected an 8ft drop on the field. The job itself was over $30,000 and all donated, the Missouri Wolverines will be forever thankful to the help that was given by Jim Kidwell Construction.
Because of their donation, the game field was renamed the "Jim Kidwell Field" for the 2002 & 2003 seasons. Special thanks goes out to Richard McAtee for making this happen.
