MissouriWolverines.Com > About The Wolverines > Field DirectionsField DirectionsMost teams have their own home field complex and operate Field Committees, Concession/Novelty Stands and Press Boxes with music/announcers. This adds a real "High School" type atomosphere which allows teams to take pride in defending their "Home Field" during the games. This is truly a unique feature to the NSYFL and differs greatly from "Pop-Warner" and other suburban leagues that host all the games in one location. There are many parent volunteer activities including, organizing club social events and generating positive public relations and sponsorships which are then needed to support a teams "HOME FIELD". All teams practices and games are played in the Northland in either Clay or Platte Counties. Below are directions to each team's "Home Field" in the NSYFL.  Leavenworth (PANTHERS HOME FIELD) Pleasant Valley Park (WOLVERINES HOME FIELD) East of N. Brighton 1 mile on Pleasant Valley Rd. (Football Fields are behind the baseball fields, second entry) OR Coming from I-35 North or South. Get off on Pleasant Valley Rd. and head West past the QuikTrip. Park is West of I-35, 3 miles from QuickTrip on Pleasant Valley Rd. on the left hand side. (Coming from the West, the football fields are the first entrance on the left) OR Coming from I-435 North or South Take the Shoal Creek Exit Head West on Shoal Creek, road will curve south until you come to Pleasant Valley Road. Head West on Pleasant Valley Rd. (Right Turn) for 1/2 mile, park is on your left hand side. Take first entrance on the left Excelsior Springs High School (Super Bowl HOME FIELD) Platte City High School (PIRATES HOME FIELD) Take I-29 North towards St. Joseph. Take the first Platte City exit - Highway 92. Turn Left onto Highway 92. Follow this for about 2 miles. You will see the High School and Middle School on the left. Use these parking lots. The football field is located behind the Middle School. Vikings Field (VIKINGS HOME FIELD) Take FF Hwy West out of downtown Parkville approx. 2 Miles. Field is at the intersection of NW Union Chaple Road & NW River Road (also called FF HWY). Waterwell Park (CHARGERS HOME FIELD) Take 169 Highway South to Briarcliffe/Riverside Exit. Turn Right onto Briarcliffe. This will take you under the 9 Highway over pass and dead end at an outer road. Turn left on the outer road. The park and field will be straight ahead on the right hand side. Englewood Park (PACKERS HOME FIELD) Take 152 Highway West to 169 Highway South. Heading South on 169 take the Engelwood Road Exit. Turn Left onto Engelwood Road. Go approximely 3-4 miles and Engelwood Park will be on the Right Hand side of the street. Line Creek Park (CHIEFS HOME FIELD) Take I-29 North to the Waukomis Drive/Northmore Exit. Turn Right onto Waukomis Drive. The park and field will be about 1 mile up on the left-hand side. OR Take 169 Highway South to the 68th Street Exit. Turn right onto 68th Street and follow to Waukomis Drive. Turn Left on Waukomis Drive. The park and field will be about 2 - 3 miles up on the right hand side. Hodge Park (SHARKS HOME FIELD) Take I-435 North to the 96th Street Exit. Turn right onto 96th Street. The park and field will be about a quarter mile up the road on the right hand side. San Rafael Park - Gracemore (RAIDERS HOME FIELD) Take I-435 South to the Claycomo/69 Highway Exit. Turn Left onto 69 Highway. Go to the second light (N. Palmer Road) and turn right. Follow N. Palmer Road to San Rafael Drive. North Palmer will become 56th Street. Turn Right onto San Rafael Drive. The park and field will be about a half-mile up the street on the left-hand side of the road. Cooley Park (GIANTS HOME FIELD) Take I-35 West to NE Antioch Road Exit. Turn Left onto Antioch Road. Follow Antioch Road to field. The park and field will be on the left-hand side. (Antioch will fork. Stay to the left. If you mistakenly stay to the right you will be on Prather Road. When Prather intersects with Parvin Road turn left. Follow Parvin back to Antioch and turn right. The field will then be about a half mile up the road on the left-hand side.) Plaza Middle School (JETS HOME FIELD) Located behind the Sear Grand on NW 72nd Street and I-29 intersection. 1/4 mile West of I-29 on NW 72nd Street Platte Woods area - behind Sears Grand Smithville High School (LONGHORNS HOME FIELD) |
