League History, Coaches, and Officials
A competitive football league for youth in grades Kindergarten thru 8th grades, with existence dating back over 40 years.
The league has teams dating back over 40 years and is governed by a board of 7 volunteers with a combined experience of more
than 60 years. The league is open to any player providing they meet league requirements and standards. Of the 33 Head Coaches in the league, over half of them
have more than 10 years experience, with some having over 20. All coaches are required to attend a coaching clinic each year and must be members of the National Federation of Coaches.
The league provides officials for each game. These are mainly High School Football officials and are sanctioned by the Missouri High School Athletic Association.
Eligibility
Anyone is eligible to play no matter where they live. There are 4 divisions: Flag Football (2nd Graders & below), 3rd & 4th grade (can include 2nd Graders), 5th & 6th grade, and 7th & 8th grades. Each division has age, grade, and weight restrictions which determine what division you participate in.
Fees
No money is due until your son has been given a contract to participate in the league and has been made part of a team.
Each team pays a set fee to play in the league and is responsible for providing equipment for each player. The team must cover
this cost themselves; therefore fees and fundraising requirements may be different with each organization.
Games
Each team will have approximately 8 "A" (Varsity) Games and 6 or 7 "B" (Junior Varsity) games. "A" games are held on Saturday and the "B" games on one of the following Monday thru Thursday Nights.
All players dress for and may participate in the "A" games. The "B" game is held for the players who did not get much playing time in the "A" game. This insures plenty of playing time for all players.
All teams practice and games are played in the Northland in either Clay or Platte Counties. Each team does have their own "HOME FIELD". The Missouri Wolverines "HOME FIELD" is .
